Use Tufted Headboard to Create Your Dream Bedroom

The choice of your modern or traditional tufted headboard will greatly depend on the design of your king size bed and the rest of the furniture, interior and room facilities. If you have a traditional bed with intricate carvings made of solid mahogany, the most sensible choice is a conventional design with high-rise statues that can compensate for a large traditional man’s bed. Four-poster headboards are very attractive and richer silk fabrics can create a luxurious and inviting atmosphere in the room.

Having a complete back wall as a headrest with special shelves that fold the first parts of the tufted headboard is a modern innovation. There are multifunctional headboards that are ideal for condominiums and other urban residential buildings that require more storage space and concentrated space distribution. If possible at the other end of the shelf, the study table can be incorporated into the design to maximize space. Side-by-ceiling headboards are also a big trend today. Small glass mosaics are only divine, especially when they make colossal abstract images or realistic images of scenes filled with the outside world. Large slate, granite, marble and gravel are excellent choices for materials that will create a raw organic appearance for modern industrial-looking rooms.

Instructions for DIY Tufted Headboard

  • Measure and cut plywood

I suggest you cut plywood in a hardware store or wood warehouse, but if you want you can cut it yourself. In this case, you need a circular saw or other saw that you have. Measure the width of your bed and add 2 inches. Next, measure from the floor to the height where you want the head of the bed to sit and cut the plywood into this measurement.

  • Cut the foam

Place the foam on the floor and place the cut plywood on top. With a marker, attach the plywood shape to the foam and cut it with a knife or scissors. Don’t worry about cutting it to perfection, because the folds will pass and read the edges.

  • Drill the hole for the button

Measure and mark where you want the tassel button to be. This is usually a square box, regularly spaced. Because the headrest will be on the ground, you just need to do it above to make it look. Drill the hole in the frame where you placed the mark.

  • Install the foam into the plywood

Spray one side of the plywood with a spray adhesive and place the foam on top.

  • Put a stick

Cut the dough so that there is enough foam on all sides to wrap the foam and plywood. Spray the adhesive on the foam and place the mixture on it. Place your hands on the stick by pressing the foam to make sure it sticks to the foam. Rotate the plywood with foam and foam and place it on the floor. Gently pull the mixture and tighten it to the back of the plywood. Staple the top of the middle first and then the bottom part goes down. Do the same with the sides, then take everything between the four initial clips, make sure it is stretched.

  • Cover the head of the bed with a cloth

Pass the cloth to remove wrinkles. Place the cloth on the floor with the right side facing down and place the folded plywood on a shape that is centered on the fabric. If the fabric has a pattern, make sure the pattern is aligned with your board. Staple the fabric onto the back of the plywood in the same way as you did, making sure to stretch it firmly and evenly when stapling the board. Remove excess cotton and tissue.

  • Press the button

Cover the button with the fabric you want by following the instructions in the button making kit. Insert the bearing needle twice and pass the hole that has been drilled on the headrest, from back to front, let a few threads hang from behind. Attach the end of the line to the last nail on the back of the plywood so that it rests on the plywood. Install the button and push the hole in the headrest. Pull the thread firmly and firmly attach it to the last nail.

Repeat this step for all buttons.

  • Secure the backrest in its place

When the head of the bed falls to the floor, place it behind your bed, push it against the wall to keep the head of the bed in place.
